Fantasy Basketball

Nov 06

Everyday, I check my stats on fantasy basketball. I enjoy the competitive nature of the game as well as seeing how well I can manage my player lineup. When I started the fantasy basketball, I was on the bottom three. Today, I checked and I am actually on the top three. Woohoo!

My friends at fantasy basketball was laughing at my player Marc Gasol. They thought that I could’ve made a better selection. Now, my buddy Reed wanted to trade his player with my Marc Gasol. Hey, I rejected the trade.

Well, checking up on my fantasy basketball is something I look forward to everytime I wake up in the morning.

Lakers will be NBA Champions again!

It’s true I am a big L.A. Laker fan and now that basketball season is here I find myself glued to the t.v. more than anytime during the year.  The Lakers have always been my favorite team and they could have and should have won the NBA Championship last year against the Boston Celtics.  This year they have a very good chance of winning the championship if they can stay healthy. First of all, they have guard Kobe Bryant the smoothest, most gifted player in the league today.  They also have two big talented centers Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum who are playing together now.  Next they have two quick point guards, veteran Derek Fisher and young former U.C.L.A player Jordan Farmar, along with forwards Lamar Odom, Luke Walton, Vladimir Radmanovic, and Trevor Ariza.  They also have back-up players like Chris Mihm, Sasha Vujacic, Josh Powell, Didier Ilunga-Mbenga, and Sun Yue.  Finally, they have the most winningest coach ever in the NBA - Phil Jackson and his coaching staff.  With this much talent and fans like me, the Lakers are on the road to another winning year and another championship ring.  Lookout everyone the Lakers are coming!

Election Day

Nov 04

Today is the much awaited Election Day. Here in California, Barack Obama is winning by twenty points. My friend in Kentucky voted for McCain and I heard that McCain won in Kentucky. Besides the presidential election, we’re voting for a lot of propositions. I voted “NO” on most of the propositions. Proposition 10 is one crazy proposition that will cost us taxpayers a lot of money. I don’t think it will pass. I voted “YES” on the Veteran’s Proposition and a couple other propositions.

Tomorrow, we’ll have a new President elect. That is quite exciting!

Best Subs

Nov 03

What do you think, best subs from Jersye Mike’s? Or from Subway? Those are the two sub shops in my neighborhood. There used to be a Blimpies, but they closed up a couple years ago.

I like the option  of ordering extra meat. Makes the sandwich more hearty.

Lately I’ve taken to ordering wheat instead of white bread. I hardly notice the difference in taste and it’s probably healthier for me. So baby steps on the healthy stuff, starting with wheat instead of white is pretty easy.

Extra Hour of Sleep

Nov 02

Posted: under Life.

Spring forward - fall back. As much as I like the extra daylight hours, at least when we changed our clocks this time I got an extra hour of sleep. It was really nice to go to bed at midnight and get a full 8 hours of sleep. I changed the alarm clock and the clock on the oven before I went to bed. Thankfully my computer made the time adjustment on its own. I don’t know why my cell phone hasn’t changed yet. Someone at AT&T must have dropped the ball.
