One of my Grandma’s precious possession is her antique grandfather clock standing in the corner of her living room. I remember how she always wipes the grandfather’s clock with Pledge and how proud she is of her clock. As a child, visiting her I was fascinated by the Grandfather’s clock everytime it chimes. The chime also meant that my visit was up and my mom is coming to pick me up.

I came home and my girlfriend was making me a nice bowl of chili. She’s such a good cook. When we get married, I won’t even have to teach her how to cook. I asked her to make me a pot of chili to bring to my potluck at work next Friday. She’s smart, she gave me the recipe instead. The ingredients are ground beef, tomato sauce, chopped onions, chili powder, and some fresh tomato. Throw them all in a potluck, simmer and it’s done!

My girlfriend and I were watching QVC and they were advertising a new computer television monitor. One can watch TV and quickly switch to computer mode so you can go on the internet. It also has a built in DVD player so you can watch movies. My girlfriend and I were impressed because the screen looks sharp, is 22 inches, and costs only $325.00. It comes in two colors black and white and my girlfriend likes the white. Since Christmas is coming I think I’ll surprise her and buy the white one for her gift.

My friend told me that on Black Friday, he would be out at 3 AM waiting for Best Buy to open. He wants to get a high definition TV. It will be nice to watch my favorite sports on a flat screen so I told him that I’d meet him there. I heard that retailers are slashing the prices on television. I think this is a good time to get a great deal on high definition television. I hear that it will be a buyer’s market this Christmas season and that a lot of retailers are slashing the prices on their merchandise. I’m definitely buy what I want and need and take advantage of the great deals out there.

My cousin complained to me about a bill collector who was very aggressive and somewhat abusive. He has some upaid debts and a bill collector actually called some of his friends and told them about his bills. My cousin was humiliated! One time, the bill collector threatened him with garnishing his wages if he doesn’t pay his bills right away. The bill collector was relentless and called him at all times of the day. Finally, my cousin was fed up from the abuse and humiliation and tried his best to pay his loan right away.
