March Madness Begins

Mar 12

Posted: under Entertainment, Sports.

Anyone who likes basketball – especially college basketball – is going to be out of pocket for the next couple of weeks. This is the start of March Madness, when the best teams enter the playoff brackets and we all want to cheer our favorites on to the championship.

Of course, I have my favorite teams, but they are not necessarily the teams that I’ve picked to win this year. It is hard to separate being a fan and choosing a winner.

Fun Summer Camp

Dec 31

Posted: under Fun, Life, Sports.

My sister and her son lives in Philadelphia. Almost every year, they come to Los Angeles and spend a few days with me. I take my nephew to the popular amusement parks, and water parks. We always have a blast spending time together. But this summer, my sister called me and asked me if I can come to Philadelphia and spend a few days with my nephew at a summer camp. She had registered herself and her son to attend a weekend at the Poconos Summer Camp but her manager asked her to go on a business trip that weekend. She asked if I can take my nephew to the summer camp, instead. I told her that I will be happy to take my nephew, Steve to the summer camp.

Steve and I are excited about going to the Poconos Summer Camp. They have many fun weekend activities such as fishing, boating, campfires, and ice cream social. It will also be a great experience to join the Archery and Fishing contests. They have lots of exciting games such as the “Ultimate Scavenger Hunt”, “Teams Course Challenge”, “Robin Hood Shootout”, and “Knockout Hoops”. We can also go swimming or hiking and that would be fun, too. I’m looking forward to Camp Kresge’s famous dusk bonfire where we can sit around, sing songs, tell stories, and many more. The camp provides comfortable overnight accommodations, delicious meals served in their own Dining Hall. Camp Kresge has very well trained staff and they promote fun and safety for everyone. This will be a different and fun summer experience for us!

Lakers vs. Celtics

Dec 26

Yesterday’s game at the Staples Center was the highlight of the Christmas party. I was invited to go to Staples to watch the game but decided that I would be devastated if Lakers lost and stayed home to watch the game. I’m glad that Lakers won. What a relief! I feel that Lakers have a chance on winning the championship.  The Lakers and Celtics rivalry is on again since the 80’s. I know that the Celtics would be a tough team to beat and Lakers will have to really work hard to steal the championship this year.

Pull Up Bar

Dec 20

Posted: under Sports.

I just bought a pull up or chin up bar from a sports store. I installed it on my door frame and started using in today. The pull up bar is a great fitness equipment because it is a total work out. This helps the arms build stronger muscles by pulling your own entire weight. It’s great for the abdomen because it burns some fat.

Paintball is a Blast!

Dec 07

My sister and brother-in-law are alot of fun. Whenever we visit them in the summer we get out the army camos, the paintball gear, and prepare to engage in our own “family feud”. The sport of paintball is great for the entire family but you have to have good and safe equipment to play. I recently found a website that has some of the best paintball guns and accessories at really good prices. The website, “ultimatepaintball.com” carries name brand equipment like: Tippmann, Dye, Smart Parts, and Spyder to name a few. The gun I like the most is the Smart Parts “Shocker NXT” and I can get it at the best price and shipped “free” to my home. This Christmas I am going to ask Santa to buy me a couple of new paintball markers, and a pair of goggles from “ultimatepaintball.com”.
