Heartburn

Have you seen the TV commercial for a fast food joint that asks if the customer wants to get sick now or get sick later? Too funny.

“I’ll take a chili dog with onions and extreme immediate heartburn, please.”

In a blatant cooperative marketing effort, Mountain Dew and Wow have teamed up to promote two new Mountain Dew flavors this summer, heralded as “Game Fuel.” One flavor is blue and the other is orange.

Funny, but I seem to remember this blue was available last summer as one of their three “test flavors.” And I could be wrong, but I think I’ve seen this orange before, as well.

A friend sent me this in an email. I’ve never heard of Bent Objects and wonder what it is all about? I mean, the photo is funny as hell. But is there more?

The Patron Saint of True Love

Actually, I don’t really know all that much about how the holiday came about in honor of St. Valentine. I don’t know if he did something great or was just persecuted in his day.

I do know that this is the day that any man with a sweetheart had better be smart and buy her something nice to demonstrate his love for her.

I like to buy both flowers and something sweet, like a box of gourmet chocolates or even truffles.

Delicious Homemade Baked Beans

Jan 06

Posted: under Entertainment, Food & Drinks.

I am very health conscious and I try to eat nutritious food, and work out regularly. It is hard to eat healthy when I eat out at restaurants and fastfood.  I dont’ usually cook at home  because I am very busy at work, have a busy social life, and I just never learned how to cook. When at home, I do make sandwiches and salads. In the past years, I have learned to make various kinds of sandwiches and salads.

During this winter season, I started craving for some comfort food, especially my favorite Boston style baked beans. I  found a website called, “life123.com” that offers a great recipe for homemade baked beans. I was excited about making the beans and went to the store right away to get the ingredients. It was pretty easy to make because because most of the cooking is done in the crockpot. The secret to making the baked beans taste so good is baking them after cooking in the crockpot.

I made so much and had enough baked beans to bring to work the next day. My co-workers were impressed by my cooking and thought that the baked beans were delicious. I’m glad I found the recipe for the Boston style baked beans.
