Had lunch at a local Mexican restaurant and on a whim we decided to order a pitcher of Sangria to share with the folks at our table. The wine used was a very tart red. It was not a very good Sangria recipe. That’s a shame, because if you use a good sweet wine and the right recipe, Sangria is a very sociable drink – even for people who don’t normally like wine. I had high hopes since it was a Mexican restaurant that the Sangria would be good. Bummer.

You are so right about using the right wine! It makes all the difference. I like both red Sangria and White Sangria. I’ll have to see if I can dig up a recipe for them and send it to you to try.
